“The Evidence Speaks For Itself”
Plastic evidence bag and silicone version of my face.
To create it, I used 3D scanning to produce a resin mould of my face, which I then cast in silicone.
This piece is a visceral exploration of trauma, capturing the feeling of being reduced to mere evidence—an object within the cold, procedural confines of a police case. It reflects the dehumanising experience of objectifying oneself; as though your identity exists only as a fragment within police documentation or legal systems. Inspired by the rigid, impersonal nature of law enforcement and forensic evidence, this work confronts the power dynamics and emotional detachment inherent in such systems.
